KME Systems is a leader in the Orange County, CA IT services market. We are looking for a business development person to find and close new IT service business with a hunter mentality. Your success is dependent upon your ability to prospect for business along with the ability to follow up, as well as suggest improvements to our sales process. You will effectively convey the value of our services to your prospects, show the KME distinction and engage with prospects using our HIRE principles of Honesty, Integrity, Respect and Ethics.
Responsibilities By Function
- New Business Development
- Increase sales by developing customer relationships in the Orange County market
- Self-generate, identify, and qualify business leads
- Research client profiles to understand client’s business and fit
- Develop product quotes and proposals for services and deliver to clients
- Work effectively with KME team to develop solution approach and deliverables
- Attend KME Systems sponsored industry, charity, or educational events
- Update all activities, time sheets and sales processes within our CRM
- Maintain technology and selling skills as industry changes
- Attend all necessary company sponsored or third part sponsored training events
- Present in person, proposals and agreements to your prospects
Work Experience & Qualifications
- A minimum of two years of service sales experience, preferably in I.T. services
- Strong consultative selling skills
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Positive attitude with clients and employees at all times
- Demonstrated ability to accomplish goals
- Operate well in a fast paced and diverse environment
- Open to direction and collaborative work style and commitment to get the job done
- Ability to perform public speaking and presentations
- Interpersonal, telephony and communication skills with active listening

Education/Training Requirements
- College degree preferred, but consideration certainly given for equivalent work experience
