KME Systems nominated for Excellence in Entrepreneurship

Wow. Wow. Wow.

KME Systems has been nominated for the Orange County Business Journal Excellence in Entrepreneurship Award. I think every good CEO would say that’s great, but I say it for 3 distinct reasons.

It’s a big deal for us and we want to celebrate a little.

Wow one. The people on the list.

I’m honored to just be on the list.

There are great companies listed, and while I know we’re a good firm, there are truly great ones nominated right alongside us.

For example, our client Antis Roofing. Charles Antis and his team know how to run a business, develop a strong culture, and give back to the community. KME supports our charities and gives back to the community, but Antis has it nailed.

Wow two. Who nominated us.

Ingram Micro, the world’s largest IT distribution firm, nominated KME Systems.

They emailed to ask if that was okay, and I was quiet for a few moments. We value each other’s business, but when a senior executive recognizes your commitment to doing business the right way, that’s impactful.

Wow three. Our team.

I got personally nominated but only because our team keeps the promises we make.

Without our people and their commitment to in-house motto, “Because we give a damn,” there is no way we could make the cut. Great people committed to our core values make all the difference, and I know it.

Final note

I’m not being self-deprecating, but we got this honor because of what we strive to be. This isn’t just about me, personally.

KME Systems is a great firm, and we work hard to earn our clients’ trust. We try to be a great place to work, not just a job. And we sincerely try to create an environment for success, fun and achievement. It’s an honor to be nominated and be among other great firms.

A big thanks to our clients whose trust in us allows us to let us live our passion every single day.
