Countdown Timer for Teams Meetings

A new countdown timer is coming to Teams meetings, allowing participants to visually track time remaining. This feature helps keep meetings efficient and on schedule—especially useful for teams juggling back-to-back calls.

Organizer Controls in the Meeting Toolbar

Meeting organizers and co-organizers will now have streamlined access to key controls via a consolidated fly-out menu. Premium users also gain access to “Prevent Copy of Chat” under Advanced Protection.

Microsoft Outlook: Mobile Gets Smarter

Send Button Relocation on Mobile

To reduce accidental sends, Outlook for iOS and Android will move the Send button from the bottom toolbar to the top header in the compose view.

DLP Policy Tips and Enforcement

Outlook Mobile will now support Data Loss Prevention (DLP) policy tips, helping users avoid accidental data leaks. Alerts will appear inline or as pop-ups when sensitive content is detected.

Email Templates in New Outlook for Windows

Users can now create, save, and reuse email templates in the new Outlook for Windows and Web. Existing .oft templates can also be imported for a smoother transition.

Security & Compliance: Automated Assessments

CloudCapsule for CIS Controls

A new tool called CloudCapsule automates Microsoft 365 security assessments against the CIS Controls. This helps IT teams streamline compliance and security checks across tenants.
