Unleash Your RI with AI

I know what you’re thinking… What do you mean by RI? Enough with the acronyms!

But bear with me for a second. RI stands for Real Intelligence. In other words, it’s you. RI allows you to understand human emotions, experiences, and intuition. It’s vital to the workplace, especially in communication, innovation, and collaboration.

Cute acronym, Mark, but I need to get back to work.

I hear you, and you’re right. But before you get back to work, take a few minutes to understand why you should channel some of your RI into AI right now.

AI is one of the greatest force multipliers ever invented.

When it comes to harnessing the power of AI, your human ingenuity, your own RI, is your greatest asset. I’ve talked a lot about AI before and how it can help your daily workflow in many ways, but it can do so much more than write emails.

AI can analyze vast data sets, identify patterns, and offer insights that would take humans hours, if not days, to uncover. It can coach your customer service folks to write better emails, summarize enormous slide decks into slick one-pagers, and help you compose in-depth research briefs—all in seconds.

Most importantly, though, AI learns from your communications, documents, and stored data to be more efficient for you, sharpening your personal communications and workflows. Of course, all of this is only possible if you take a moment to invest some of your time into learning a new AI tool.

I’ve heard all the excuses before… I’m too old for this. My job really can’t be helped with AI. AI just doesn’t know how to help me.

But, trust me, you aren’t too old to adopt a new technology. Studies show over 70% of Boomers, once introduced, keep using AI. And if you communicate with others in your job, AI can absolutely help you. It’s not going to take over your job—it’s going to enhance it.

Here’s How to Get Started with AI

As an expert in Microsoft 365, we recommend Microsoft Copilot as the AI tool everyone should be using. There are, of course, other options out there, but we love Copilot’s fully integrated solution. It’s easy to learn and roll out to your team, especially if you already use Microsoft 365.

After you choose a tool, here are some tips to keep momentum going within your office environment:

  • Encourage a culture of experimentation and learning around AI
  • Designate a thought leader in your company to explore options and promote AI use
  • Sit back and watch your team do more and be happier from getting rid of drudge work

Soon you’ll see everyone taking a little credit for your decision to let AI help your RI.
